My name is karen, and I have a little old lady cocker girly caled Livvy. Livvy is not actually a rescue, but the topic is very close to my heart as my first dog was a rescued cocker, and a couple of years ago, I used to have 5 dogs, and due to reasons completely beyond my control, I had to rehome 2 of my dogs. I was lucky and found homes for them withouth them having to go to a recue center. My mum has a cocker called Kizzy, from a rescue center in Wales. I look forward to reading through the forum topics. x

Hello Karen I am in Worle too. A coupl eof us are in the Worle area and a lot of us in Weston itself, and of course we have our further flung friends who are all very spread out. Do post some pictures of Livvy and of Kizzy too. We love looking at pics, especially dog pics. If you ever want a walking companion just give us a yell and please feel free to join in the general chatter on the Random Ramblings thread. We are all a bit nutty (well I am the sane one, but I try not to boast ) but we are a nice bunch of nuts. There are lots of other topics and things to look at, so peruse at your leisure and we look forward to getting to know you better ;D

Hi Karen and - 'cos we're nice like that - Yes, please, photos are always welcome I'm in South Wales and have fostered for a few local rescues; where did Kizzy come from? I've never had to give up my dogs but on one occasion I came very, very, scarily close. As in about 12 hours. Not on a par, I know, but I can guess a little of how you must still feel. As said, please join in, we ain't a bad lot But, I feel I have to warn you...... We are all a bit nutty (well I am the sane one, but I try not to boast ) Yeah, right

Thanks for your welcomes. I'm always on the lookout for walking companions! Livvy is such a sociable creature. Kizzy came from Many Tears, a bit of a sad case by all accounts still with some baggage several years on, but so sweet and loving.

Thats a lovely offer, but unfortunately I don't get home till gone 5 in the week. Livvy goes to to playschool while I'm at work, she isn't left on her own all day. I have only lived here a little over a year, and I still don't really know where anything is. My regular walk in the evenings after work is either the park on Kewstoke Road or Weston woods, depending on the weather and what kind of a day we've had. Where is the orchard?

It sounds as though you are in North Worle. We are in south. The Orchard is off Verbena way or Silverberry Road. Silverberry runs parallel to New Bristol Road) does Livvy go to K9 express playschool?

K9 Express are fantastic supporters of LRDR and have been the main sponsor of our show for the past two years. we also know quite a few people who use their services. If you are free this evening Karen then you would be very welcome at our fundraising meeting. It would give you a chance to meet everyone and you would be made very welcome. if you would like to come then please pm either myself or frostymabel or hiddendreams for the address

If you go down Silverberry and look to your right as you head to the M5 you will see trees and a green behind them. That is the Orchard.
